Collaboration: Partner with Animation Leads and the Director to ensure performances align with the storytelling and creative vision. Consistency: Participate in daily reviews and animation rounds, actively integrating feedback to maintain the project’s high standards. Innovation: Contribute to shared studio resources, including animation libraries and the continuous improvement of character rigs. Delivery: Manage tasks within production deadlines and ensure all animations are delivered on schedule via ShotGrid. Key Requirements Experience: Professional 3D character animation experience (Maya) on animated feature films or high-end TV series. Artistry: A strong eye for “cartoony” animation and creative exaggeration; the ability to balance realistic mechanics with stylized design. Storytelling: Proficiency in interpreting storyboards and translating them into dynamic 3D performances. Communication: Strong collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across global studios (Montreal & Paris). Preferred & Optional Skills Technical: Knowledge of ShotGrid and RV; familiarity with scripting or rigging. Artistic: Strong 2D animation skills or a background in drawing/design. Linguistic: Bilingualism (English/French) is a significant asset as you will be working with our Paris studio and international partners. The Role The VFX Coordinator is the heartbeat of our visual effects project management. Organizational Skills: Strong project management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines. You must be able to multitask, manage priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
