The Role
Pixomondo (PXO) is seeking a Senior Creature Animator to join our Stuttgart team. In this role, you will create industry-leading animations and bring complex creatures to life, ensuring alignment with the creative vision of our Leads and Supervisors. This is a contract position beginning in January 2026, offering a hybrid or remote work model within Germany/EUR.
Key Responsibilities
- Animation Excellence: Deliver high-end animated sequences that meet client specifications and the project brief.
- Versatility: Animate in various styles, with a specialized focus on realistic creature performance.
- Technical Execution: Handle Mocap cleanup and 3D rotomation for FX-heavy sequences.
- Pipeline Collaboration: Work closely with Animation and CG Supervisors to maintain visual consistency and meet tight production deadlines.
Your Track Record
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in VFX for Film and Television, specifically focused on photo-realistic creature animation.
- Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in Autodesk Maya.
- Principles: A deep understanding of traditional animation principles, rigging/setup, and 3D character layout to match live-action plates.
- Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of post-production hardware, software, and VFX pipelines.
- Soft Skills: Proactive leadership qualities with excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
Requirements
- A portfolio/reel demonstrating fluid, organic movement and strong storytelling.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Germany or the European Union.
