About The Role
The Embassy is looking for a Senior 3D Modeller / Asset Generalist who can help bring assets from the early stages of production through to final quality.
You’ll have the opportunity to work across modelling, texturing, look development and other areas of the 3D pipeline. You’ll also work closely with other artists and departments to solve creative and technical challenges along the way.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, paying attention to detail and contributing to a collaborative team.

The Embassy is a Canadian, Oscar-nominated creative studio based in the heart of Vancouver’s Digital District. We specialize in visual effects, animation, live-action production and post-production for feature films, television, commercials and global brands. What You’ll Do
As a Senior 3D Modeller, you’ll be involved in creating and developing assets for the project.
Your day-to-day work may include:

- Creating high-quality 3D models, textures and look development
- Working on characters, sets, environments and props
- Creating both hard-surface and organic models
- Creating clean and efficient UV layouts
- Developing and working with node-based shading networks
- Taking assets or shots through to final quality
- Finding practical solutions to creative and technical challenges
- Working with other artists and departments to resolve issues
- Taking feedback and applying it to your work
- Keeping track of your progress and meeting project deadlines
- Helping with asset planning and making sure assets remain consistent throughout the show
- Sharing knowledge and techniques with other artists
- Supporting and mentoring junior artists
- Taking part in creative and technical discussions with the team
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced artist who has:
- 5+ years of professional experience in commercials, film or television
- A strong eye for creating realistic, detailed models
- Strong skills in modelling, UVs and texturing
- Experience with both hard-surface and organic modelling
- Good knowledge of the VFX production pipeline
- Experience with software such as:
- Blender
- Maya
- Houdini
- ZBrush
- Substance
- Mari
- A good understanding of colour spaces and global illumination
- Strong problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- The ability to work effectively in a hybrid/remote team environment
- The ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining quality
- A positive and collaborative attitude
- The ability to both give and receive feedback
