In this role, you will work closely with our Compositing Supervisor to craft vibrant, visually striking, and technically seamless shots that captivate youth audiences worldwide.

Core Responsibilities as Compositing Artist
Cinematic Shot Compositing: Assemble and composite 2D animation shots according to the Supervisor’s artistic direction, ensuring visual consistency across shots, sequences, and full episodes.
Quota & Deadline Management: Take ownership of assigned episodic shot quotas, managing your freelance hours efficiently to hit tight broadcast delivery schedules.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve pipeline issues related to camera moves, special effects (FX) integration, lighting, and visual continuity. You will escalate game-stopping technical bugs directly to the supervisor.
Pipeline Discipline: Maintain pristine file organization, strict asset naming conventions, and flawless version control within our server structure and Flow Production Tracking software.
Collaborative Review & Documentation: Participate in team reviews, provide constructive peer feedback, and help document workflow insights or best practices for the studio’s internal wiki upon request.
Production Synergy: Adapt dynamically to different art styles across projects and collaborate closely with the production team to flag potential bottlenecks early, supporting ongoing schedule planning.
Required Profile & Qualifications
Experience & Technical Mastery
- Studio Experience: Proven professional studio experience working as a Compositor specifically utilizing Toon Boom Harmony in a series or feature film pipeline.
- Node-Based Harmony Mastery: Solid, deep proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony compositing, featuring a thorough understanding of its advanced node-based compositing architecture.
- Creative Suite Fluency: Strong technical and visual execution skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects for asset preparation and supplemental visual effects.
- Cinematic Eye: A highly developed understanding of 2D camera mechanics, parallax, lighting integration, digital FX, and general cinematic language.
Communication & Logistics
- Language Skills: Bilingual or Native Spanish speaker is required, alongside a professional working proficiency in English. (Knowledge of Portuguese and/or Catalan is considered a major plus).
- Freelance Autonomy: Exceptional time management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive, creative approach to independent problem-solving.
- Software Bonus: Prior operational experience with production tracking databases like ShotGrid / Flow Production Tracking is highly preferred.
- Legal Status: Must possess active freelance registration and tax status within an EU member state.
