About Stairway Games

We’re looking for a Lead 3D Artist to guide and elevate our talented 3D art team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the visual excellence of our assets while ensuring technical and artistic consistency across all projects.
Your Role at Stairway Games
- Lead the 3D asset production pipeline across internal teams and international outsourcing partners.
- Collaborate with the Game Director and Project Manager to define schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Review and approve all 3D assets before they enter the game engine.
- Maintain pipeline documentation, naming conventions, and standard tools.
- Mentor artists to produce high-quality 3D characters, props, and environments.
- Work closely with the R&D and Technical Art teams to balance visual quality and performance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new 3D artists.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in the game industry with at least one shipped AAA title.
- 3+ years in a Lead / Supervisor / Director role on a released AAA project.
- Deep understanding of the 3D asset pipeline from modeling to engine integration.
- Proficiency in Maya or Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, and Unreal Engine (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Perforce, Excel, and Google Sheets for production tracking.
- Excellent understanding of topology, texel density, PBR workflow, and asset optimization.
- Strong communication and leadership across art, tech, and production teams.
