Job Summary : Animator

🔹Role Overview: Crafting World-Class Character Performances

As an Animator at DNEG Animation, you will serve as a core creative force responsible for breathing soul and personality into digital characters. Working hand-in-hand with world-class directors, supervisors, and cross-functional artists, you will translate script nuances and directorial vision into compelling, believable 3D motion.

Whether you are tackling subtle emotional beats or high-energy action sequences, your work will directly drive the narrative forward. You will receive and implement creative feedback gracefully, iterate rapidly within complex production pipelines, and ensure that every frame meets the highest cinematic standards of quality and visual consistency.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• 🎞️ Create dynamic, high-quality character animation for feature films.
• 🤝 Collaborate with leads and departments to maintain visual consistency.
• 🎨 Implement creative feedback to enhance storytelling and performance.
• 💻 Animate using Maya, Blender, or equivalent software.
• 🚀 Stay up to date with the latest animation tools and trends.
• ⏱️ Deliver polished animation assets within project timelines.

🧠 Requirements

• 🎓 Bachelor’s in Animation/Fine Arts or equivalent experience.
• 💼 5+ years of experience in feature film animation or related work.
• 🕹️ Strong understanding of animation principles & acting.
• 🧰 Proficiency in Maya/Blender; motion capture experience is a plus.
• 💬 Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• 🎞️ Strong showreel showcasing character animation & storytelling.

💪 Bonus Skills

• 🦴 Basic rigging knowledge.
• 🎆 Familiarity with VFX pipelines.
