Operating at an elevated leadership level within a high-velocity environment, the Senior Cinematic Producer will hold comprehensive operational ownership over assigned linear media projects. Comprehensive Responsibilities
1. Senior Project Leadership & Lifecycle Management
- End-to-End Execution: Author, optimize, and manage comprehensive project schedules, milestone targets, task delegations, and complex production budgets.
- Communication Flow & Leadership: Direct the daily rhythm of project communication. Oversee production dailies, capture and distribute critical feedback, and actively contribute as a core member of show leadership while sustaining high crew morale.
- Resource Allocation: Actively audit and secure critical infrastructure, pipeline tools, assets, and documentation to ensure digital artists can execute unhindered.
2. Stakeholder Integration & Strategic Alignment
- Cross-Departmental Synergy: Formulate, coordinate, and lead high-level meetings designed to facilitate meaningful creative discourse between Blizzard Animation, Game Development teams, and core support groups.
- Downstream Orchestration: Partner early with matrixed business units to define project scopes and map out dependencies for localization, audio engineering, post-production, and global marketing initiatives.
- Executive Reporting: Establish high-level department goals and project deliverables. Design comprehensive weekly/monthly performance reports and milestone evaluations for upper management and development stakeholders.
3. Risk Mitigation & Cultural Architecture
- Proactive Bottleneck Resolution: Anticipate, identify, and neutralize systemic production blockages or resource constraints before they impact delivery targets.
- Constructive Critique Culture: Build strong, trust-based professional relationships across Blizzard’s corporate structure, acting as a filter to evaluate and deliver high-level creative criticism professionally.
Role Requirements for Senior Cinematic Producer
Minimum Qualifications
- Industry Longevity: 8+ years of professional linear media production experience encompassing animation, gaming, or visual effects (VFX) in a high-caliber professional environment.
- Producer Leadership: At least 5 years operating directly as a Producer within a professional animation, VFX, or interactive gaming enterprise, with a verified track record of building and leading successful creative teams.
- Real-Time Toolsets: Direct experience producing in-game cinematic content, with a strong preference for modern real-time workflows (e.g., Unreal Engine).
- Pipeline Literacy: Advanced, functional understanding of complex 3D animation production pipelines and linear workflows.
- Communication & Influence: Masterful written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, alongside the ability to advocate for production needs with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
