Key Responsibilities Your daily contributions will be essential to the success of our production pipeline. Your core responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Shot Execution: Perform high-quality compositing tasks, including multi-pass integration, complex masking, color grading, and final assembly of shot elements. Pipeline Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Lighting & Compositing Supervisor and Leads to ensure that the visual style remains consistent across all sequences. Continuity Management: Maintain meticulous shot-to-shot continuity and overall visual coherence within scenes, ensuring that light, color, and depth-of-field align with the project’s established look. Technical Workflow: Efficiently manage shot setups, utilize AOVs, and apply denoising techniques to optimize render quality while adhering to the technical specifications of our pipeline. Quality Control (QC): Actively participate in the QC process. You will be responsible for addressing technical notes, troubleshooting compositing errors, and ensuring that all final outputs are ready for review and downstream processes. Department Contribution: Participate in team meetings, share knowledge, and contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of the compositing department’s workflows and best practices.   Qualifications & Experience To be successful in this role, you should possess a solid technical foundation in compositing and a passion for animated storytelling. Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Junior Compositor within a professional animated feature film pipeline. Software Expertise: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of Foundry Nuke. Mastery of node-based compositing is essential. Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of color theory, lighting principles, render passes, AOVs, advanced masking, and denoising techniques. You should be comfortable working within a 3D environment and understanding how geometry and lighting data inform the final composite. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
