Able & Baker is looking for a Compositing Lead to join our team on an exciting full CG 3D animated feature film currently in production.
We’re seeking someone with a strong artistic vision, solid technical expertise, and proven leadership experience in feature animation compositing.

🎬 Responsibilities:
🔸 Lead and mentor the compositing team, providing both artistic and technical direction.
🔸 Collaborate with the Lighting & Compositing Supervisor and Lighting Leads to maintain visual consistency across sequences.
🔸 Develop and manage compositing templates, workflows, and standards.
🔸 Oversee final shot assembly, ensuring seamless integration, accurate color balance, and cohesive atmosphere.
🔸 Handle key or complex shots when required and review team outputs for quality and continuity.
🔸 Coordinate with production for planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
🔸 Supervise QC and finishing of final shots.
🎨 Requirements:
🔸 Proven experience as a Compositing Lead or Senior Compositor on animated feature films.
🔸 Strong knowledge of Nuke.
🔸 Excellent understanding of lighting, render passes, AOVs, and 3D pipelines.
🔸 Strong communication and leadership abilities.
🔸 Keen artistic eye for color, depth, and visual storytelling.
🔸 Proficiency in Spanish and English.

🔸 Prior experience in animated feature film production.
🔸 Proactive, solution-driven mindset.
🔸 Strong sense of composition and storytelling aesthetics.
