About Us

At Pretty Cool Games, we are currently developing an ambitious, playful, and physics-based title that emphasizes creativity, exploration, and dynamic player interactions. We believe that exceptional games are built on strong visual foundations and compelling environmental storytelling.

To help us bring this vibrant world to life, we are looking for a talented Concept Artist to join our growing team. What You’ll Be Doing

As our Concept Artist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the look, feel, and playability of our game world. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Visualizing the World: Creating inspiring, imaginative, and readable concept art that directly guides and supports level design and environment art teams.
  • Environmental Storytelling: Bringing our game universe to life by infusing every corner of the environment with narrative depth and personality.
  • Defining Art Direction: Collaborating with leadership to help define and refine the overall art direction and visual vision for the game.
  • Translating Direction: Transforming high-level creative direction into inspiring yet highly functional visual concepts.
  • Level Composition: Proposing innovative ideas and solutions for engaging level compositions, layouts, and memorable vistas.
  • Exploration & Cohesion: Exploring a wide range of thematic directions while proposing multiple solutions that remain unified within our distinct art style.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with both Design and Art departments to problem-solve through creativity and ensure cohesive world-building.
  • Feedback & Iteration: Providing constructive feedback to the design and art teams to elevate overall game aesthetics while ensuring all concepts meet strict gameplay requirements.
  • Proactive Contribution: Actively contributing creative ideas and feedback to enhance the player experience.
  • Playtesting: Participating in regular playtests, offering constructive feedback, and tackling design challenges through visual problem-solving.
