As a 3D Sets & Props Modeling and Surfacing Artist, you’ll be responsible for crafting detailed, stylized, or semi-realistic environments and props that enhance the storytelling and visual depth of our projects. Your keen sense of design, form, and texture will help shape immersive worlds that captivate audiences.

Job Summary :  3D Sets / Props Modeling / Surfacing Artist

📋 Position Details

As a 3D Sets & Props Modeling and Surfacing Artist at ATLANTIS Animation, you will be directly responsible for shaping the physical spaces and objects that give our projects their unique character. Whether working on stylized or semi-realistic aesthetics, you will translate conceptual 2D designs into fully realized, optimized 3D assets.

Your keen sense of design, scale, form, and texture will help build rich, believable environments that enhance narrative depth and immerse global audiences in unforgettable stories. You will collaborate closely with layout artists, texture painters, and art directors to ensure every set piece tells its own compelling visual story.

Key Responsibilities

• Asset Modeling: Construct clean, high-detail, and optimized 3D models of architectural sets, props, organic elements, and environmental assets.
• Surfacing & Texturing: Develop rich, visually stunning surfaces, shaders, and textures that match the designated artistic style (stylized or semi-realistic).
• Pipeline Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with rigging, layout, and lighting departments to ensure smooth asset integration and efficient polygon/texture budgets.
• Artistic Interpretation: Translate rough concept art and storyboards into fully dimensional, story-driven sets while maintaining visual consistency across episodes or sequences.
• Technical Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve geometry, UV mapping, or shading issues to meet rigorous production pipeline standards.
