Under the direct mentorship of our Senior Compositing Artists and the Art Director, you will be tasked with elevating the visual quality of “3, 2, 1, Go!” Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Atmospheric Creation: Utilizing Nuke to create specific moods, from bright daytime outdoor scenes to complex indoor lighting scenarios.
  • Pass Integration: Merging various 3D render passes (Diffuse, Specular, Shadow, AO, etc.) to achieve a seamless and visually appealing final image.
  • Color Grading & Correction: Ensuring color consistency across sequences and applying stylistic color grades that align with the series’ art direction.
  • 2D Effects: Adding atmospheric effects such as lens flares, dust motes, glows, and depth of field to enhance the cinematic quality of the renders.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying and fixing technical render artifacts or inconsistencies within the compositing script.
  • Workflow Optimization: Adhering to the studio’s pipeline requirements and maintaining clean, legible Nuke scripts for team collaboration.

The Desired Profile

We are looking for “look-dev” enthusiasts who have a “photographic eye” and a deep understanding of how light interacts with the real world.

Technical Prerequisites:

  1. Nuke Proficiency: You should have a very good grasp of Nuke’s node-based workflow, including 2D/3D tracking, roto-painting, and advanced merging techniques.
  2. Maya Knowledge: Familiarity with Maya is a significant advantage, particularly regarding how 3D scenes are layered and prepared for rendering.
  3. Color Theory: A strong sensitivity to color composition, contrast, and visual balance.
  4. Artistic Flair: The ability to look at a raw render and understand what it needs—be it a touch of “bloom” or a shift in mid-tones—to make it “pop.”

Professional Attributes:

  • Rigor and Precision: Lighting and Compositing are the final steps in the pipeline; attention to detail is non-negotiable.
  • Team Spirit: Animation is a collaborative sport. You must be able to communicate clearly and integrate feedback from supervisors efficiently.
  • Motivation: A genuine desire to learn the “ZEILT style” and push the boundaries of what can be achieved in a TV series format.

Why Choose ZEILT Productions?

We offer an environment where your professional growth is treated with the same importance as the production itself.

  • Award-Winning Leadership: Work in a studio founded by an Oscar winner. The quality bar is high, and the learning curve is rewarding.
  • International Environment: Our team is composed of talent from across the globe, offering you a multicultural professional network.
  • Work-Life Harmony: We offer flexible working hours. We value productivity and creativity over “seat time,” allowing you to manage your 40-hour week effectively.
  • Cutting-Edge Tech: Gain access to professional-grade hardware and software licenses used in the production of global cinema and TV hits.
  • Human-Centric Culture: We foster a friendly, approachable atmosphere. We believe the best art comes from a happy, inspired team.

Join us for a summer of creativity! To apply, please prepare a digital application containing:

  1. Demo Reel: A video showcasing your best lighting and compositing work. Include “before and after” breakdowns of your composites where possible.
  2. CV/Resume: Highlighting your software skills and any relevant coursework or projects.
  3. Cover Letter: Tell us about your artistic journey and why you want to join the “3, 2, 1, Go!” team.
  4. Availability Dates: Clearly specify when you can start and end your 2-month (minimum) internship during the summer of 2026.
