As a Senior Character & Creature Modeler, you aren’t just pushing vertices; you are building the foundation for every performance that follows. You will be the technical bridge between the concept art and the rigging department.
1. High-Fidelity Creation
You will be responsible for sculpting and modeling high-quality characters and creatures that range from stylized “squash and stretch” designs to hyper-realistic assets. You will take raw scans or 2D concepts and transform them into production-ready 3D masterpieces.
2. Technical Excellence & Topology
Topology isn’t just about looks—it’s about movement. You will ensure that every asset has the correct edge loops for complex facial expressions and body deformations. Your work will involve cleaning up high-res scans and optimizing meshes to meet the rigorous demands of a fast-paced TV series pipeline.
3. Mentorship & Leadership
M2 believes in growth. As a Senior, you will dedicate a portion of your time to guiding Junior and Intermediate artists. You will provide constructive feedback, share your “secret sauce” for ZBrush workflows, and help the Leads improve the studio’s overall technical standards.
4. Downstream Collaboration
You will maintain a “big picture” view of the pipeline. By collaborating closely with the Rigging and Texturing leads, you will ensure that your models are not only beautiful but also technically sound for seamless integration into animation and look-dev.

Technical Mastery
- The Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in Maya, ZBrush 2022, and Photoshop. Knowledge of Marvelous Designer or Substance Painter is a massive plus.
- Sculpting Prowess: An expert ability to sculpt from both detailed concepts and loose reference imagery.
- Facial Workflows: Extensive experience with blend shapes and an understanding of how topology supports nuanced facial acting.
- Anatomy Expert: A profound understanding of human and animal anatomy, even when applying it to stylized or “cartoony” characters.
