About the Role
As a Senior Animation Artist, you will take ownership of animation shots from initial blocking through final polish.
Your work will help establish believable movement, emotion, personality, rhythm, and physicality within a shot. Depending on the project, you may animate realistic creatures, human characters, stylized performances, or mechanical and other animated objects.
You will receive direction from Leads and Supervisors while also bringing your own creative thinking and animation expertise to the work.
Great animation is more than making a character move. Every pose, transition, pause, and change in timing contributes to the story.
In this role, you will focus on:
| Animation Element | What It Means in Production |
|---|---|
| Timing | Controlling rhythm, pacing, anticipation and reaction |
| Weight | Making movement feel physically believable |
| Posing | Creating clear and readable silhouettes |
| Body Mechanics | Building convincing physical movement |
| Acting | Communicating emotion and intention through performance |
| Secondary Motion | Adding detail that supports the primary action |
| Reference | Translating real-world movement into usable animation |
| Polish | Refining details that make a shot feel finished |
