The Opportunity: Studio Ambassador

We are seeking a highly professional and proactive individual to serve as our Studio Receptionist, operating as the essential first point of contact and Studio Ambassador for Locksmith Animation. This pivotal Front of House role is responsible for creating a welcoming and secure environment for all clients, guests, and visitors, while ensuring the seamless operation of front desk and core administrative functions within our dynamic, fast-paced setting.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the General Assistants and the Central Co-Ordinator, upholding the studio’s commitment to professional standards and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Front of House & Studio Operations:

  • Serve as the primary welcome point for all staff, new starters, and external visitors, ensuring a consistently positive first impression.
  • Manage incoming communications, including professionally answering, screening, and forwarding all telephone calls.
  • Maintain the highest standards of presentation for the reception, conference rooms, and screening areas, including managing refreshments and working lunches.
  • Maintain comprehensive operational records, including accurate visitor, contractor, parking, mail, and dog logs.

Security & Facilities Coordination:

  • Strictly monitor and control access to the studio premises, promptly notifying relevant internal parties upon guest arrival.
  • Enforce security protocols for all external guests, including the compilation of necessary access control paperwork.
  • Act as the appointed First Aider, Fire Marshal, and Key Holder for the building, responding to alarm call-outs as required.
  • Promptly report all facilities and maintenance issues to the appropriate channels for resolution.
  • Manage studio access logistics, including coordinating parking and specific limited access arrangements.

Administrative & Culture Support:

  • Provide essential administrative support across all London-based teams.
  • Attend scheduling, diary, and other internal meetings as necessary.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of in-house events.
  • Uphold the company’s policies regarding equal opportunities, access, and diversity, operating with integrity and respect at all times.
  • Undertake additional administrative duties appropriate to the nature of the post, as directed by the Head of Culture.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of demonstrable experience in a high-volume, professional Front of House or administrative environment.
  • Possession of a professional, team-oriented, and client-focused demeanour.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively, demonstrate resourcefulness, and work independently with a high degree of adaptability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Remuneration and Logistics

  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • General Schedule: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
  • Salary: London Living Wage.
