4. Detailed Role & Responsibilities

The Training Coordinator acts as the engine for the Studio Talent Group, ensuring that the logistics of education never hinder the speed of production.

Core Administrative Coordination

  • Global Scheduling: Partner with global STG teams to coordinate course timings, attendee lists, and venue bookings (theaters, classrooms, and conference rooms).
  • Infrastructure Management: Maintain all instructional spaces, ensuring equipment is functional and performing technical troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Resource Procurement: Research and coordinate equipment purchases, moves, and repairs to support evolving training needs.

Production & Professional Development

  • Onboarding Excellence: Prepare and orient new hires to the ILM technical environment, collaborating with Talent Managers and mentors to establish personalized training schedules.
  • Database Integrity: Maintain the training class database and calendar to ensure all global and local events are accounted for.
  • Reporting: Assist in creating comprehensive schedules and progress reports for department heads and management.

Creative Enrichment & Special Programs

  • Artistic Growth: Coordinate “Enrichment Training,” including specialized sculpting and drawing classes to maintain the studio’s high artistic standards.
  • Junior Talent Support: Provide logistical support for The Jedi Academy, encompassing internships and apprenticeships.
  • Event Production: Manage preparations for high-profile events such as the Speaker Series, Weeklies, and major industry conferences like SIGGRAPH.

Internal Communications

  • Digital Maintenance: Regularly update the Studio Talent Group internal website with the latest resources and schedules.
  • Community Updates: Dispatch weekly training updates to the global STG alias to keep the studio informed of upcoming opportunities.

5. Required Skills & Technical Competencies

  • Organizational Mastery: Exceptional ability to prioritize multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
