Project Context & Role Impact
As a 3D Environment Artist assigned to this legendary live-service franchise, you are stepping into a role of massive scale and creative responsibility. This project is celebrated worldwide for its vibrant, highly stylized visual signature, demanding an artist who possesses an exceptional command over form, color theory, silhouette, and stylized surface execution. Armenia jobs
In this position, your contribution goes far beyond the standard placement of generic assets or structural dressing. You will not simply be arranging pre-existing assets on a map; instead, you will be the architectural foundational point—authoring the very building blocks, prop systems, modular kits, and surface textures from scratch. The assets you forge will directly define the spatial identity, geographic narrative, and environmental immersion of a world that millions of players live, breathe, and compete in every single day. We are seeking an artist who looks at a conceptual drawing and understands how to translate it into a highly optimized, beautifully expressive 3D asset that retains its artistic integrity across multiple hardware platforms. Core Duties & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will take ownership of a diverse array of creative and technical workflows within our environmental art pipeline. Your daily operational tasks will include:
1. High-Fidelity Modular Asset & Prop Authoring
- Design, model, and execute complex, modular level art assets, structural architectural components, and unique environmental props entirely from scratch based on conceptual artwork and art direction.
- Ensure all modular pieces snap perfectly to grid metrics, allowing level designers and environment artists to construct vast, varied, and structurally sound environments without alignment artifacts or gaps.
- Maintain a strict consistency of form, scale, and stylistic language across all authored assets, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into the pre-existing world.
2. Advanced Texture & Material Creation
- Develop high-quality, efficient trim sheets and tileable texturing systems that maximize visual fidelity while minimizing unique texture memory footprints.
- Author expressive, stylized unique textures for hero assets, combining hand-painted sensibilities with physically based rendering (PBR) workflows where appropriate.
- Effectively blend tileable materials, vertex painting layers, and trim sheets within engine shaders to break up visual repetition across large structural surfaces like walls, cliffs, and terrain.
3. Pipeline Optimization & Platform Compliance
- Take full responsibility for the technical performance of your assets by generating clean, progressive Levels of Detail (LODs) that preserve silhouette integrity at distances.
- Construct accurate, highly optimized collision meshes (both simple and complex) that adhere strictly to design gameplay requirements and prevent player clipping or movement exploits.
- Monitor performance metrics, draw calls, and vertex budgets to ensure assets run flawlessly across a broad spectrum of target hardware platforms without compromising visual excellence.
4. Technical Mesh Optimization & Normal Management
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of low-polygon topology modeling, ensuring clean edge flow and efficient polygon distribution.
- Manually adjust and edit weighted vertex normals on hard-surface and architectural meshes to achieve smooth, flawless shading transitions without relying on dense, performance-heavy geometry.
- Manage UV layouts meticulously, maximizing texel density, minimizing stretching, and strategically hiding texture seams.
5. Multi-Part Asset Baking & Texturing
- Utilize industry-standard baking pipelines to transfer high-poly sculpt data onto low-poly runtime meshes.
- Master the art of baking multi-part, highly complex structural assets seamlessly, eliminating ambient occlusion bleeding, projection artifacts, and cage errors.
- Iterate on surface properties, color maps, rough-value variations, and stylized weathering using specialized procedural and manual texturing toolsets.
6. Engine Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Import, set up, and verify environmental assets directly within the Unreal Engine 5 framework, configuring static meshes, material instances, and collision parameters.
- Collaborate closely with Level Designers, Technical Artists, Art Leads, and Production Managers to ensure assets meet all functional gameplay requirements and align perfectly with scheduled milestone deliveries.
- Actively participate in art reviews, providing and receiving constructive, professional critique to continuously elevate the project’s visual bar.
Technical & Artistic Requirements
To qualify for this high-tier AAA production role, applicants must demonstrate a rigorous balance of artistic styling and technical asset optimization.

- Portfolio Excellence: A comprehensive, professional portfolio or demoreel showcasing stellar examples of stylized environment art, modular asset breakdowns, clean topology wireframes, and textured trim sheet applications.
Highly Desirable Assets (Nice to Have):
- Maya Specialization: Advanced operational experience utilizing Autodesk Maya as your primary 3D modeling platform is highly advantageous.
