As a Video Editor, you are at the heart of our marketing creative process. You will be responsible for editing and producing captivating videos, demos, and cutscenes that showcase our titles to the world. This is a highly collaborative role that requires you to balance artistic vision with technical specifications.

You will work within our dedicated video editing department, collaborating with Producers, Marketers, and Game Developers to create content that heightens awareness and drives sales potential. From high-quality trailers to short-form content for social media, your work will be the primary window through which millions of fans view our games.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

A. Video Production & Editing

  • Gameplay Capture: Master the art of capturing high-quality video content from within our game engines to create authentic and exciting promotional material.
  • Non-Linear Editing: Utilize Adobe Premiere to edit internal and external video assets that enhance the appeal of Rebellion’s products.
  • Visual Effects & Motion Graphics: Create compelling motion graphics and use Adobe After Effects for compositing, keying, and visual polish.
  • Audio Engineering: Implement fundamental audio mixing techniques to ensure our videos sound as professional as they look.

B. Platform-Specific Optimization

  • Short-Form Content: Design, edit, and deliver high-impact short-form videos specifically tailored for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Channel Alignment: Ensure every asset is fit for purpose for its target audience and platform, adhering to specific briefings and delivery schedules.
  • In-Game Assets: Utilize specialist tools to convert video content for use directly within the game engines.

C. Collaboration & Workflow

  • Internal Stakeholder Synergy: Collaborate with Artists, Designers, Programmers, and Producers to ensure the video content accurately reflects the game’s vision.
  • Feedback Integration: Work closely with the Video Editing department and Producers to solicit feedback, iterating on work to align with initial briefs.
  • Task Management: Maintain organized project files and track daily tasks using designated tracking tools.
  • Innovation: Actively seek out the latest trends and techniques in video content creation to keep Rebellion’s marketing at the cutting edge.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Editing Suite: Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Graphic Design: Competency in Photoshop or other 2D software for asset preparation.
  • Engine Experience: Direct experience using game engines to create cinematics or capture gameplay.
  • Camera Operation: Knowledge of filming with professional equipment (e.g., Sony FX3) is highly desirable.
  • Pipeline Knowledge: A solid understanding of production pipelines and experience with versioning in an editing environment.
