As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for a visionary Lighting Supervisor to steer our lighting department, inspire our creative teams, and ensure the highest standards of cinematic excellence.
If you are a seasoned leader who understands that light is the essential language of emotion, mood, and atmosphere, we invite you to join us in Pune and help shape the future of our upcoming feature projects.
The Role: Artistry Meets Leadership
As a Lighting Supervisor at philm CGI, you will be the bridge between the technical pipeline and the creative intent of the director. You are responsible for ensuring that the final output on screen is not only technically flawless but also artistically transformative. This is a role for an experienced professional who can balance the demands of high-end production with a passion for creative mentorship and team growth.
Core Responsibilities:
- Creative Leadership: Lead and manage the lighting team, translating the creative vision of the VFX Supervisor into tangible, cinematic shots.
- Quality & Continuity: Maintain a high bar for quality across sequences, ensuring that continuity in color, mood, and atmosphere is preserved throughout the film.
- Pipeline & Process: Oversee the assembly of lighting passes and comps, ensuring that the team adheres to project-specific look-development standards while identifying opportunities for workflow efficiency.
- Artistic Guidance: Provide daily supervision, offering constructive feedback and creative solutions that elevate the work of every artist on your team.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with production management to track progress, prioritize tasks, and manage resources, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Act as the primary technical point of contact, resolving complex bottlenecks in the render pipeline and proposing software or procedural improvements.
- Mentorship: Dedicate time to coaching and training Lighting TDs, fostering a culture of continuous technical improvement and artistic confidence.
