The Role: Architecting Immersive Worlds

As a 3D Environment Lead, you will be the driving force behind the visual and technical quality of our environment pipelines. This role is a strategic intersection of artistic direction, technical oversight, and team management. You will be responsible for defining the visual language of our environments, ensuring that our work doesn’t just meet industry standards—it sets them.

You will play a hands-on role in guiding a team of talented artists, providing the mentorship they need to grow, and the technical guidance required to solve complex production hurdles. Whether you are working from our offices in Gurugram, Pune, or Bengaluru, you will be a key leader in our studio, translating the high-level vision of our clients into breath-taking, playable environments.

Key Responsibilities

Your leadership will have a tangible impact on the quality of every project you touch. Your responsibilities include:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of environment artists. You will set the standard for quality, foster professional growth, and oversee the day-to-day management of art production.
• Visionary Direction: Define and communicate a clear artistic vision for every project. You will ensure that environment designs align with project style guides, gameplay needs, and environmental storytelling requirements.
• Pipeline Optimization: Architect and refine our production pipelines and workflows. Your focus will be on increasing efficiency, streamlining asset creation, and ensuring seamless integration into modern game engines.
• Asset Oversight: Supervise the entire lifecycle of asset creation, from conceptualization and gray-boxing to final integration, polish, and optimization.
• Quality Assurance: Act as the final gatekeeper for visual quality. You will troubleshoot artistic issues, provide actionable feedback, and ensure that every asset meets AAA specifications.
• Strategic Planning: Manage production budgets, timelines, and cross-project coordination. You will be responsible for balancing creative ambition with the hard constraints of production schedules.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a leader with the experience to navigate the challenges of AAA development and the vision to inspire others. Candidates should possess:

• Academic Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Digital Art, or a related field.
• Extensive Experience: At least 8+ years of professional experience in next-gen art production, including at least 3+ years in a mentoring or leadership role, such as an Associate Art Lead.
• Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio that demonstrates your capability in AAA art leadership and world-class environment design.
• Tooling Mastery: Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software, including the Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling tools (such as Maya or 3ds Max), and major game engines.
• Leadership Excellence: Exceptional project management and communication skills. You must be able to articulate your ideas clearly, manage conflict effectively, and lead teams through high-pressure production cycles.
