The Role: Digital Matte Paint Artist
We are currently seeking a visionary Digital Matte Paint Artist to join our VFX department. In this role, you will be the architect of our digital landscapes. You will be responsible for creating photo-realistic and stylized environments that extend the boundaries of our physical sets, providing the scope and atmosphere necessary for truly cinematic storytelling.
As a Digital Matte Paint Artist at Green Gold, your work will be the foundation for many of our most complex sequences. You will combine your understanding of perspective, lighting, color theory, and composition to produce high-quality matte paintings that seamlessly integrate into the final composite.
This role requires an artist who is not only technically proficient in industry-standard software but also possesses a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of environmental storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
As part of our VFX team, you will be responsible for:

- Pipeline Integration: Collaborating closely with our compositors and lighting artists to ensure your work seamlessly blends with live-action or 3D elements.
- Artistic Versatility: Adapting your style to fit the diverse project needs at Green Gold—from hyper-realistic environments for feature projects to vibrant, stylized worlds for our episodic series.
- Technical Problem Solving: Utilizing your mastery of digital painting tools, plate photography, and layering techniques to overcome complex perspective and lighting challenges.
- Collaborative Excellence: Actively participating in creative reviews, taking direction from supervisors, and working in sync with other departments to maintain high production standards.
