In this role, you will be more than a bookkeeper; you will be a guardian of financial accuracy, ensuring that our revenue, taxes, and reporting meet both Indonesian standards and global HQ requirements.

Core Purpose

The Accounting Officer is responsible for maintaining the “source of truth” for the studio’s financial health. Your mission is to maintain flawless accounting records and support the delivery of timely, reliable financial reporting that informs strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue & Accounts Receivable (AR) Management

  • Invoicing: Generate and issue accurate sales invoices to global clients and partners.

  • Aging Oversight: Maintain and monitor the AR aging report, ensuring timely collection of customer payments.

  • Reconciliation: Record incoming payments and perform regular reconciliations of AR accounts to ensure no discrepancies exist between bank statements and ledgers.

2. Financial Reporting & General Ledger (GL)

  • Monthly Closing: Drive the monthly closing process, ensuring the accuracy of the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, Balance Sheet (BS), and General Ledger.

  • Journal Management: Record revenue, accruals, deferrals, and reclassification journals with high precision.

  • Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and GL account audits to verify the integrity of all financial data.

3. Taxation & Compliance

  • Tax Calculation: Prepare calculations for Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), and Corporate Income Tax.

  • Compliance: Ensure all tax filings are compliant with current Indonesian tax regulations and deadlines.

  • Audit Support: Maintain a comprehensive and organized documentation system for both internal studio audits and external global HQ reporting.

4. Operational Accuracy & Special Projects

  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate item codes, project codes, and cost classifications to ensure granular reporting on production costs.

  • Vendor Validation: Collaborate with the Finance team to verify and validate new vendor data, mitigating financial risk.

  • Process Improvement: Assist the Finance Leadership in implementing projects designed to automate or improve accounting workflows and internal controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate who values precision, structure, and continuous learning.

  • Academic Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: 1–3 years of professional accounting experience. We also welcome high-potential Fresh Graduates for Staff-level positions who can demonstrate strong academic mastery.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Accounting Principles: A deep understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting standards.

    • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data visualization).

    • Systems: Previous experience with professional accounting software or ERP systems is highly desirable.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Analytical Mindset: Ability to spot trends, errors, or inconsistencies in large data sets.

    • Organization: A methodical approach to documentation and filing.

    • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within the Finance team and across other studio departments.
