About the Role
Industrial Light & Magic is seeking an HR Advisor (HR Operations) to join our Sydney Studio. This role plays a key part in supporting HR Business Partners by delivering efficient HR operations, data-driven insights, and people-focused solutions. You’ll be responsible for HR administration, reporting, compliance, and initiatives such as wellness and employee benefits programs, ensuring an outstanding employee experience across the Studio.

Key Responsibilities
- Collect, maintain, and analyze HR data; prepare reports, dashboards, and insights to support decision-making.
- Partner with HRBPs to provide HR advice and ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and Awards.
- Support day-to-day HR operations including contracts, onboarding, offboarding, and monthly payroll processing.
- Manage HR life cycle processes such as performance reviews, promotions, merit planning, and off-cycle requests.
- Oversee employee benefits processes and wellness initiatives.
- Field and manage HR enquiries, escalating to HRBPs as required.
Contribute to HR projects, change initiatives, and business improvement efforts.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an HR Coordinator/Officer in a dynamic, fast-paced industry.
- Relevant HR qualifications (Cert IV, Bachelor’s, or postgraduate in HR).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Adaptability to ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Proactive problem solver with sound judgment and a collaborative attitude.
- Advanced Excel skills and HRIS experience (Workday preferred).
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Forms).
