Job Summary : Blender Generalist

Role Overview: The Versatility of a Generalist

As a Blender Generalist at BearWolf Productions, you will serve as a versatile creative powerhouse within our production pipeline. Your core mission is to navigate seamlessly across multiple stages of 3D production—from modeling, texturing, and shading to rigging, animation, lighting, and basic technical integration.

You will work hand-in-hand with fellow artists, supervisors, and compositors to ensure that assets and shots flow smoothly from initial concept to final delivery. Whether you are building complex organic assets, setting up dynamic particle simulations, or assembling polished scene environments inside Blender, your adaptability and eye for detail will directly dictate the quality of our studio’s output.

Key Responsibilities

• Multidisciplinary 3D Execution: Handle a wide array of generalist tasks including 3D modeling, hard-surface/organic texturing, look development, and scene assembly.
• Pipeline Contribution: Collaborate seamlessly with other departments—including Roto & Prep, Unreal Engine artists, Lighting, Compositing, and 3D Animation—to maintain technical continuity.
• Asset Setup & Rigging: Create clean, optimized assets with proper topology and foundational rigging structures tailored for real-time or rendered pipelines.
• Deadline Management: Deliver high-quality production assets efficiently while meeting fast-paced project schedules and tight production milestones.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical bottlenecks within Blender scene files, ensuring optimized performance and visual fidelity across all assigned sequences.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Professional Tenure: 1 to 5 years of relevant professional experience working within the animation, gaming, or visual effects industries.
• Software Mastery: Strong, solid understanding and hands-on professional proficiency in Blender across multiple disciplines.
• Pipeline Awareness: A comprehensive grasp of the end-to-end VFX production pipeline and standard industry workflows.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, a collaborative team spirit, and a positive attitude under pressure.
• Mandatory Portfolio: A compelling demo reel or portfolio is strictly required for consideration.
