Sancio VFX Studios on the lookout for a talented Matchmove & Roto Animation Artist with 2+ years of industry experience to join our growing team. This hybrid role involves both 3D camera/object tracking and roto animation (rotoAnim) — playing a key part in ensuring seamless integration of live-action and CG elements.

• Position: Full-Time, Onsite.
• Location: Hyderabad, India.
• Salary: ₹4 LPA – ₹7.5 LPA (commensurate with skill, experience, and showreel quality).
• Eligibility: Must be located in or willing to relocate to India with valid work authorization.

✨ What You’ll Do

• Perform 3D camera & object tracking using live-action footage
• Reconstruct camera motion with survey/lens data & references
• Create roto animation of characters/props in Maya using plate references
• Work closely with layout, animation & compositing teams
• Troubleshoot & optimize matchmove/rotoAnim for production efficiency

Core Requirements: The Skills You Bring

We are looking for professionals who have moved past the learning phase and are ready to tackle production-level challenges. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Industry Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience specifically in a Matchmove or Roto Animation role.
• Software Proficiency: Deep expertise in 3DEqualizer, PFTrack, or SynthEyes. You should be able to handle difficult tracks with minimal hand-holding.
• Maya Mastery: Extensive experience with Autodesk Maya, specifically concerning camera work, rig interaction, and roto animation techniques.
• The Technical Fundamentals: A profound understanding of lens distortion principles, various camera rigs, and the practical application of tracking markers.
• Pipeline Awareness: A foundational knowledge of Nuke, particularly for performing projections, undistorting plates, and verifying your tracking results within a compositing context.

🎯 Must-Have Skills

• 2+ years in Matchmove & Roto Animation
• Proficiency in 3DEqualizer / PFTrack / SynthEyes
• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Maya (rotoAnim, camera work)
• Good understanding of lens distortion, camera rigs & tracking markers
• Experience with character rigs & motion matching
• Basic knowledge of Nuke (for projections & integration)
