Electronic Arts’ award-winning Codemasters studio is looking for a Rendering Engineer to join the F1 team! 🚀 Work in a passionate, close-knit team of engineers, designers, and content creators, and help shape the next-gen AAA F1 racing experience.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and implement large rendering systems with a focus on in-game character visuals.
Research and evaluate emerging rendering technologies to push visual fidelity.
Write high-quality C++ code and maintain existing rendering systems.
Collaborate with art, engineering, and production teams to ensure technical feasibility.
Support testing, profiling, and automation of rendering features.
Identify and reduce technical debt across rendering and engine systems.
Skills & Qualifications:
- ✅ Expert in C++ (4+ years)
- ✅ Experience with 3D graphics APIs (Direct3D 12)
- ✅ Shader programming (HLSL/CG) & GPU knowledge
- ✅ Advanced 3D geometry, math, lighting, LOD, and character rendering
- ✅ Familiarity with parallel programming and modern ray tracing APIs
- ✅ Strong debugging and profiling expertise
Bonus Points:
- Data-oriented and object-oriented design experience
- Degree in Maths/Physics/CS/Game Tech or equivalent
- 2+ shipped full-lifecycle games in a rendering role
- Passion for collaboration and mentoring
