BlackMill Games – Long-term Mission BlackMill Games is seeking an experienced Cinematic Artist with a passion for history to join our team and help bring the WW1 Game Series to life. You will collaborate closely with the Creative Director and Art Director to produce trailers, in-game assets, and marketing materials that reflect the authenticity, style, and quality our projects are known for. 💰 Salary: $36,000 – $48,000 per year Responsibilities Produce high-quality trailers and video content directly in-engine (Unity 6). Develop clear documentation and guides to support other team members. Create simple 2D marketing assets such as banners and thumbnails. Work with provided briefs, create animatics, and refine content based on feedback. Ensure timely delivery of polished content while maintaining creativity and style. Mix audio and music with visuals to create compelling, story-driven content. Required Qualifications Shipped at least one title as a cinematic artist. Created the trailer for at least one commercial game. Strong understanding of video production for different formats (tutorials, trailers, social media promotions). Skilled in video editing and post-production (DaVinci Resolve, Adobe After Effects, etc.). Solid cinematography knowledge: shot composition, pacing, lighting, and color. Experience with Unity 6, including Timeline, Cinemachine, Animation systems, and Recording packages. Ability to design 2D marketing assets. Familiarity with version control software. Other Requirements Proven remote work experience. Professional setup (high-performance computer, SSD storage, fast internet). Legal ability to invoice a Dutch company (registered company or freelance status). Based within UTC-3 to UTC+5 (max 4-hour difference from Amsterdam). Fluent in English (written and spoken). Availability: 32–40 hours per week. Bonus Skills Interest in World War One and historical accuracy. Passion for gaming. Scripting/debugging experience. Familiarity with SVN. Unity 6 advanced skills: Particle System, VFX Graphs, prefabs, tooling improvements. Experience with 3D tools (Blender, Maya) and animation workflows. Audio editing/mixing experience (FMOD, Audition). Strong machinima or personal project portfolio.
