📌 Role Summary: Purpose & Delivery

Purpose: To create stylized, high-appeal digital character maquettes consistent with the project’s artistic style, and to complete all modelling tasks, including retopology and facial blend shapes, in adherence to the established pipeline.²

Key Deliverables:

• High-quality Digital Character Sculptures (Maquettes)
• Production-ready Character Technical Models
• Comprehensive and appealing Facial Blend Shapes

🛠️ Core Responsibilities

• Artistic Creation: Develop appealing, stylized digital character maquettes.³
• Technical Modeling: Retopologize character assets and model assembly assets, ensuring optimal topology for rigging and animation.⁴
• Facial Setup: Create complete blend shape sets that are appealing and fully support the requirements of rigging and animation.⁵
• Collaboration: Work closely with Art Directors to define and uphold the aesthetic look of the show.⁶
• Outsource Management:
  • Prepare detailed sculpts and clear launch notes to effectively guide external studios on character modeling and blend shape execution.
  • Review and approve technical models and blend shapes delivered by external studios, ensuring adherence to quality and technical specifications.
• Workflow Management: Provide timely updates to Production and the Head of Characters, proactively identifying and communicating any technical or workflow bottlenecks affecting the character schedule.
