🎨 About the Roles
VFX Paint Artist (Mid-Level)
As a Paint Artist at SM Rolling FX, you’ll be responsible for creating clean, seamless shots by removing unwanted elements and enhancing visual details. Your tasks may include:
- Wire, rig, and marker removals using industry-standard software.
- Seamless frame cleanup and plate reconstruction.
- Collaborating with compositing and matchmove departments.
- Ensuring color continuity and maintaining the integrity of the original footage.
Your work will help maintain the realism and polish that define SM Rolling FX’s high-quality output.
VFX Roto Artist (Mid-Level)
As a Roto Artist, you will handle the precise extraction of elements frame-by-frame to enable compositors to integrate CG or background replacements perfectly. Your responsibilities include:
- Creating accurate mattes and masks for live-action shots.
- Maintaining clean edges and natural motion.
- Understanding of depth, camera movement, and object interaction.
- Proficiency in tools like Silhouette, Nuke, or Mocha Pro.
