About the Role
We are actively searching for an enthusiastic and seasoned Animator to join our dynamic team and help realize the complex character animation, thrilling action sequences, and nuanced emotional moments for our upcoming feature films and high-end projects.
As an Animator, you will work directly with our VFX Supervisors, Directors, and Production Leads. Your core mission will be to execute intricate character animation with artistic integrity and technical credibility, always keeping the script and the Director’s overarching vision at the forefront of your work. This is a role for an experienced professional who possesses:
- Mastery of the 12 Principles of Animation: Applying principles such as squash and stretch, timing, and anticipation to achieve dynamic and believable motion.
- Deep Understanding of Acting and Performance: The ability to convey emotion, weight, and personality through movement, whether the sequence demands compelling drama or expert comedic timing.
- Versatility in Style: Proficiency in creating both realistic, physics-based animation and highly stylized, exaggerated performances.
You will be a key creative contributor, translating static character poses into expressive, purposeful motion that drives the narrative forward.
Core Responsibilities (Your Day-to-Day Mission)

| Vision Execution & Feedback Implementation | Creatively interpret and accurately implement notes and feedback received from the Director and VFX Supervisor, ensuring the intended tone and style of the scene is maintained. |
| Deadline Management | Work efficiently and calmly under strict production deadlines, meticulously managing assigned shots and providing regular progress reports to the Production team. |
| Technical Data Integrity | Ensure animation data is clean, efficient, and optimized for downstream departments (e.g., Lighting, Compositing, and Rendering) to guarantee a smooth pipeline flow. |
| Pipeline Collaboration | Proactively collaborate with other departments within the VFX pipeline, including Modeling, Rigging, and Layout, to ensure seamless asset integration and movement. |
| Creative Input | Contribute creative suggestions for shot staging and sequence execution, actively participating in problem-solving discussions related to animation challenges. |
| Performance Polish | Fine-tune animation cycles and movements to achieve the highest level of polish, focusing on subtleties that enhance character believability and emotional depth. |
| Asset Handling | Manage and organize assigned animation assets and shots within the production tracking software (e.g., Shotgun/ShotGrid) to maintain clear communication across the studio. |
