Job Summary : Senior 3D Character Animator

Role Overview: Breathing Life Into Characters

As a Senior 3D Character Animator at Wingingstones, you will take center stage in shaping character performances across our major productions. You will work closely with directors, layout artists, and riggers to translate scripts and storyboards into believable, highly nuanced character actions.

From subtle, emotional facial expressions to dynamic, high-energy action sequences, your animations will define the core personality and heartbeat of our projects. You will also serve as a technical and creative pillar within the team, setting high benchmarks for quality and mentoring junior staff when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Character Performance & Acting: Deliver stellar, believable character performances with a strong emphasis on subtext, emotional weight, and personality.

• Timing & Spacing Mastery: Apply foundational and advanced animation principles to achieve perfect weight, timing, and cinematic flow.
• Rigging Collaboration: Work alongside technical artists and riggers to test, troubleshoot, and optimize character rigs for maximum animator-friendly efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate seamlessly with layout, modeling, lighting, and pipeline teams to ensure smooth asset integration throughout production.
• Quality Control: Maintain strict artistic and technical consistency across assigned shots while consistently meeting tight production milestones and deadlines.
• Creative Problem Solving: Tackle complex mechanical and organic motion challenges independently, offering innovative solutions to visual bottlenecks.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7–8 years of professional experience in animation production.
• Strong grasp of character performance, timing, and visual storytelling.
• Expertise in 3D Animation, Character Animation, and Rigging.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Maya (or equivalent professional animation tools).
• Excellent artistic sense, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
