The VFX Producer Role: Key Responsibilities
As a VFX Producer at Black Kite Studios, you are the primary engine driving a project from the initial pitch to the final delivery. You are responsible for maintaining production excellence, ensuring that our creative output remains world-class while keeping projects commercially viable.
1. Business Development & Client Strategy
Winning Work: Work alongside Executive Producers (EPs) and the Head of Production to execute aggressive and effective sales strategies. You will identify opportunities with new clients while nurturing existing relationships.
Long-term Partnerships: You aren’t just looking for the next job; you are looking to build a creative partnership. Your goal is to foster repeat business through trust and exceptional delivery.
Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Black Kite at industry events, award shows, and networking functions. You are the face of the studio in the London creative scene.
2. Creative Production Management
Bidding & Pitching: Collaborate with the creative team to develop high-end treatments and accurate bids. You must be able to translate complex VFX requirements into clear, transparent budgets for clients.
Workflow Efficiency: Manage CETA schedules (or relevant production software) with precision. You ensure that the studio’s resources are balanced and that artists are set up for success.
Feedback Integration: Act as the filter between the client and the artist. You must deliver client feedback constructively and clearly, ensuring the creative vision is met without demoralizing the team.
3. Financial & Operational Accountability
Budget Oversight: Deliver every project on time and within the agreed budget. You are responsible for the financial health of your projects.
Client Experience: We believe in making our clients feel special. You will manage client entertainment and ensure that every interaction with Black Kite is memorable and positive.
Problem Solving: In a fast-paced environment, things change. You must be an expert negotiator and a master of multi-tasking, able to pivot priorities at a moment’s notice.
