This is more than just a learning opportunity; it is a chance to leave your mark on sprawling fantasy landscapes and intricate architectural marvels. At Triumph, we don’t just build levels; we craft living, breathing worlds. If you have a “modular mindset,” a love for high-fantasy aesthetics, and the technical prowess to bring static assets to life, we want you in our studio.

The Role: Crafting the Unreal

As a 3D Environment Art Intern, you will be deeply embedded within our environment team. You won’t be fetching coffee; you will be building the foundations of our next grand strategy or RPG epic. Your daily workflow will involve the creation of high-quality assets that define the visual identity of our games.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Asset Creation: Modeling and texturing a wide variety of assets including hero props, modular architectural sets, and organic vegetation.
  • World Building: Assisting in set dressing and terrain generation to create immersive and believable scenes.
  • Technical Integration: Learning the ins and outs of our proprietary custom engine, ensuring that all assets are optimized and look stunning in-game.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with Lead Artists and Designers to ensure visual consistency and gameplay functionality.
  • Sculpting & Texturing: Utilizing ZBrush for high-poly organic and hard-surface sculpting, and the Substance Suite for industry-standard PBR texturing.

Candidate Requirements

Triumph Studios is looking for students who are ready to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional game development. To be eligible for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Status: You must be currently enrolled in a Dutch or Belgian educational institution in a relevant field (e.g., Game Design, Fine Arts, 3D Animation).
  • Location: You must be able to work on-site at our studio in Delft. We value the synergy of in-person collaboration, especially for mentorship.
  • Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in Maya, ZBrush, and the Substance Suite (Painter and Designer).
  • Artistic Vision: A strong affinity for fantasy art. We want to see your ability to create magic through stone, wood, and iron.
  • Modular Mindset: Understanding how to build efficiently using tileable textures and reusable mesh kits.

Why Triumph Studios?

Located in the heart of Delft, Triumph Studios offers a unique blend of a “small-studio feel” with the backing of a global powerhouse, Paradox Interactive.

What We Offer:

  1. Direct Impact: Your work will be implemented directly into our games. You will see your props and buildings in the final product.
  2. Mentorship: Work alongside industry veterans who have shaped the 4X and Strategy genres for decades.
  3. The Paradox Ecosystem: Gain insight into how one of the world’s most successful strategy game publishers operates.
  4. Culture: We are a team of gamers. We have a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere where creativity is encouraged, and your voice is heard.

“At Triumph, we believe the environment is a character in its own right. We are looking for an intern who doesn’t just see a ‘rock’ or a ‘wall,’ but sees a piece of history within a fantasy world.”
