Position 1: Roto Artist (2–6 Years Exp.)
We are looking for Roto Artists who understand that a matte is not just a shape—it’s a performance. You need to be able to track the nuance of motion and provide the compositing team with the perfect foundation.
What You’ll Do:
Precision Matte Creation: Use Silhouette and Nuke to create consistent, flicker-free mattes for characters, hair, and complex moving objects.
Motion Tracking: Leverage Mocha and point-trackers to ensure roto shapes hold perfectly across motion-blurred frames.
Complex Deformations: Handle cloth, organic movement, and intricate edges with a high degree of temporal consistency.
Pipeline Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Roto Artist and Compositing Supervisors to ensure mattes meet the specific needs of the shot.
What We Look For:
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a VFX studio environment.
Mastery of Silhouette and Nuke Roto nodes.
An eye for motion—understanding how weight and momentum affect the shape of a matte.
The ability to manage tight deadlines without sacrificing edge quality.
Position 2: Paint Artist (2–6 Years Exp.)
Our Paint Artists are the digital surgeons of the studio. From complex rig removals to background reconstruction, you will be responsible for cleaning plates and preparing them for the final VFX layers.
What You’ll Do:
Rig & Wire Removal: Seamlessly remove harnesses, wires, and tracking markers from complex live-action plates.
Plate Reconstruction: Rebuild backgrounds and textures behind moving objects using frame-by-frame paint and 2.5D projection techniques.
Digital Makeup: Perform skin clean-up and cosmetic enhancements for high-profile talent.
Texture Consistency: Ensure that grain, light, and shadow are perfectly matched during the restoration process.
What We Look For:
2–6 years of experience in high-end Prep/Paint roles.
Advanced proficiency in Nuke (Paint nodes and Projection) and Photoshop.
A deep understanding of plate grain and color space.
Experience with 3D projection workflows to handle complex camera moves.
