The Role: Integrating Worlds
As a Mid-Level Compositing Artist, you will be the final architect of our shots. You will be responsible for the seamless integration of CG, live-action, and various VFX elements, ensuring that every sequence feels cohesive, believable, and visually stunning. This role requires a balance of artistic flair and technical rigor; you will need to handle complex layering while maintaining the overall narrative flow of the scene.
Key Responsibilities
- Seamless Integration: Combine disparate CG and live-action elements into a final composite that is indistinguishable from reality.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that every shot meets the highest visual standards before it leaves your workstation.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and other artists to maintain consistency across the entire production pipeline.
- Creative Problem Solving: Apply your technical expertise to resolve complex lighting, perspective, and color challenges on a shot-by-shot basis.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an artist who brings both professional experience and a creative mindset to our studio:
- Experience: 4–5 years of professional compositing experience in film, television, or post-production environments.
- Technical Mastery: Strong skills in Nuke (or equivalent industry-standard compositing software).
- Artistic Foundation: A keen eye for lighting, color, continuity, and the subtle details that make a composite feel “real.”
- Collaborative Spirit: The ability to communicate effectively and work seamlessly within a fast-paced, high-pressure creative environment.
- Portfolio: A compelling demo reel that demonstrates your ability to handle complex composites and artistic challenges.
