The Role: Defining the Future of Motion

As a Senior Animator at Glow Production, you will be more than just a key-framer; you will be a creative architect. You will be responsible for setting the visual bar for all project animations and ensuring that our character and creature movements feel responsive, polished, and immersive.

• Creative Leadership: You will play a significant role in the creative direction of our projects. We look to our Senior Animators to propose innovative animation ideas that align with our core project goals, enhancing the overall game quality and player experience.
• Technical Mastery: You will utilize your deep expertise in Maya and Unity to implement advanced animation techniques. Whether it is character performance, combat loops, or traversal mechanics, you ensure that every asset is optimized for the game pipeline.
• Mentorship: You will be a beacon of knowledge for our junior and mid-level artists. By providing guidance, code reviews, and technical feedback, you will elevate the entire department’s output.
• Project Stewardship: You will manage your own tasks and schedule with a high degree of autonomy. Meeting deadlines is crucial, and you will be expected to balance your creative output with the logistical realities of our production timeline.

Who You Are

We are looking for a veteran animator who thrives on challenge and understands that great animation is a blend of artistry and engineering.

• Experienced Professional: You have 4+ years of professional experience specifically in the game animation industry. You have shipped titles and understand the unique pressures of the game development lifecycle.
• Pipeline Expert: You have a comprehensive understanding of the entire game workflow, from rig integration to engine implementation in Unity.
• Adaptable & Resilient: Game development is fluid. You remain calm under pressure and are highly responsive to changes in project requirements or creative direction.
• Communication Skills: You are a strong communicator who can articulate your vision clearly to your team and stakeholders. Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is a significant bonus, as is the ability to quickly sketch or animate concepts to pitch your ideas effectively.
• Global Vision: We are actively seeking talent from across Southeast Asia and are committed to supporting relocation for the right candidate. We prioritize Malaysian applicants, but we are looking for the best in the region.
