Brown Bag Films Bali | Finance & Operations Division

Brown Bag Films Bali is a globally recognized animation studio and a leader in digital content production. In an industry where creativity is the heartbeat, the Finance Department is the backbone that ensures our operational excellence. We are seeking a meticulous, high-integrity Finance Officer to manage our treasury processes, vendor relations, and payment cycles.

This role is critical for maintaining the financial health of our studio, ensuring that our talented artists and external partners are supported by a seamless, transparent, and accurate financial infrastructure.

Core Purpose

The Finance Officer is responsible for executing accurate, timely, and controlled payment processes and treasury management. Your primary mission is to support the fluidity of production operations and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with our global and local vendors through rigorous financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounts Payable (AP) & Vendor Management

  • Invoicing & Verification: Perform strict 3-way matching (comparing Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, and Invoices) to ensure every charge is legitimate and authorized.

  • AP Maintenance: Record valid vendor invoices into the system and monitor AP aging to ensure the studio remains in good standing with all partners.

  • Compliance: Proactively identify and reject invoices with incomplete or invalid documentation to maintain audit-ready records.

  • Vendor Integrity: Collaborate with the Accounting team to verify and validate data for all new vendor onboarding.

2. Treasury & Banking Operations

  • Payment Execution: Execute weekly payment runs in accordance with approved schedules and monitor upcoming maturity dates/deadlines.

  • Banking Liaison: Act as the primary Maker/Admin for online banking systems, inputting transactions and coordinating directly with bank representatives for smooth processing.

  • Cash Flow Monitoring: Update daily bank balance reports and maintain strict controls over Petty Cash and employee reimbursement claims.

3. Reporting & Audit Support

  • Month-End Closing: Provide comprehensive AP and treasury data to support the monthly financial closing process.

  • Audit Readiness: Systematically archive all supporting documents to ensure a seamless process during internal and external audits.

  • Process Improvement: Assist the Finance Manager in identifying and implementing “best practice” improvements to the studio’s financial and accounting workflows.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who values precision as much as we value creativity.

  • Academic Background: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

  • Professional Experience: 1–3 years in Account Payable, Treasury, or Finance Operations. Note: Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience in a corporate setting are encouraged to apply.

  • Technical Proficiency: * Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (complex formulas and data management).

    • Familiarity with Online Banking Systems (Corporate Maker/Admin levels).

    • Previous experience with ERP software is considered a significant advantage.

  • Core Competencies:

    • 3-Way Matching: Practical understanding of the PO-to-Payment lifecycle.

    • Detail Orientation: An uncompromising eye for numerical accuracy and documentation validity.

    • Integrity: A high level of professional ethics and the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality regarding studio financial data.

Behavioral Expectations

  • Time Management: The ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet weekly and monthly deadlines.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments (internal) and with vendors/banks (external).

  • Adaptability: A proactive mindset that is open to feedback and willing to contribute to process optimization.

Perks, Benefits & Career Path

Brown Bag Films Bali offers a stable and supportive environment for financial professionals to grow within the creative industry.

  • Financial Security: Competitive salary, Retirement Benefit Plans, and Life Insurance.

  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive Medical and Health Insurance.

  • Work-Life Balance: Maternity and Paternity leave, plus a “Comfortable Working Environment” in the heart of Bali.

  • Growth: A clear Career Path with access to “Training & Professional Development” to move toward Senior Finance or Management roles.

  • Culture: Participation in “Fun Activities” and the prestige of supporting world-class, award-winning animation projects.

Application Process

  1. Resume Review: We will assess your academic background and technical experience in AP/Treasury.

  2. Competency Interview: A discussion with the Assistant Finance Manager regarding your understanding of 3-way matching and Excel proficiency.

  3. Final Interview: A meeting with the Finance Manager to evaluate cultural fit and professional integrity.
