Atlantis Animation Hiring – 3D Lead Animator (F/M)

📍 Location: Santa Cruz de Tenerife (On-site only)
📅 Contract: Full-time, Fixed-term (Dec 2025 – Oct 2026)

Atlantis Animation, an industry-leading studio based in the beautiful Canary Islands, is looking for a talented and experienced 3D Lead Animator to join our team. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality content for global giants like Disney—including credits on Tara Duncan and Miraculous Ladybug (Season 5)—we are now embarking on our most ambitious project yet: Messi and the Giants. This epic new series is produced in collaboration with Sony Music Vision, Sony Pictures Television Kids, and Leo Messi Management.

In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between artistic vision and final production. Working alongside the Animation Supervisor, you will lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of artists to deliver world-class animation that brings our characters to life. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a world-class studio in one of the most stunning locations in Europe.

🎯 Your Role
As a 3D Lead Animator, you’ll guide and mentor the animation team alongside the Animation Supervisor, ensuring world-class storytelling and animation quality.

✅ Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of animators, managing workflow & assignments
• Provide creative & technical feedback to maintain quality and consistency
• Animate from storyboards, animatics, and director’s notes
• Collaborate with supervisors, technical animators, and production
• Mentor junior artists and foster team growth

🔑 Requirements

• Previous experience mentoring or leading animation teams
• Proficiency in Maya
• Proven experience on 3D animated TV series
• Solid knowledge of animation principles & rigging workflows
• Strong communication, problem-solving & organizational skills
• Fluent English; must be able to work on-site in Tenerife (EU citizenship/Spanish residency required)
