About the Role – Lead Animator
As a Lead Animator, you’ll guide our animation team to deliver visually compelling, high-quality animation. Beyond creating polished shots, you’ll mentor junior animators, set the standard for excellence, and ensure seamless collaboration across the pipeline. From complex technical shots to crowd sequences, your leadership will help bring vibrant characters and worlds to life.
Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the animation team, setting and maintaining top quality standards
Animate a wide range of shots, from complex technical to large crowd sequences
Ensure all animation aligns with the show’s unique style and artistic vision
Streamline feedback loops and optimize workflow efficiency
Collaborate with Directors, Rigging, Asset, and Production teams to resolve issues
Maintain series continuity and contribute to overall pipeline improvements
Qualifications:
4+ years’ professional experience in 3D animation using Maya (film or series)
Proven leadership as a Lead Animator in CG character animation (series or feature)
Strong background in cartoony animation styles (quadruped experience a plus)
Skilled in using live-action reference footage
Solid understanding of production pipelines and custom tools
Excellent mentoring, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
