Role Overview
Streamline Studios is looking for passionate, driven, and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Interns who are eager to kickstart and accelerate their careers in the global video game development industry. Key Responsibilities & Daily Expectations
During your internship with Streamline Studios, your day-to-day activities will be structured to give you a comprehensive, hands-on understanding of the game testing pipeline:
1. Test Execution & Scenario Validation
- Execute structured test passes, functional tests, regression tests, and exploratory tests across various builds, platforms, and devices.
- Follow detailed test cases and scripts meticulously to verify game features, mechanics, user interfaces, audio design, and visual assets.
- Validate core gameplay loops, save systems, localization, and network performance under varying conditions.
2. Bug Tracking & Documentation
- Identify, isolate, and document bugs, glitches, crashes, and visual artifacts with pinpoint accuracy using industry-standard bug-tracking tools (such as Jira or similar software).
- Write clear, concise, and reproducible bug reports containing reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, severity ratings, logs, screenshots, and video captures.
- Verify fixed bugs in newer software builds to ensure issues have been successfully resolved without introducing regressions.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with software engineers, game designers, level designers, artists, and producers to clarify bug reports and help pinpoint the root causes of issues.
- Participate actively in daily stand-ups, milestone reviews, and QA team syncs to communicate testing status and flag critical blockers early.
4. Process Improvement & Learning
- Continuously study game architecture, testing methodologies, and industry QA standards to sharpen your analytical capabilities.
- Assist senior QA staff in updating test suites, writing new test cases for incoming features, and organizing testing documentation.
