Sony Pictures Hiring CG Supervisor (Los Angeles, US)

We are looking for an experienced CG Supervisor for an exciting, unannounced CG animated series at Sony Pictures Animation. You’ll lead the technical and creative side of the production, guiding both internal teams and vendor studios to deliver world-class animation within budget and schedule. 💰 Salary: $3,057 – $3,500 per week (plus benefits as per union agreement) Key Responsibilities: Oversee technical + creative quality across all stages (script → animatic → final). Supervise internal CG art team and collaborate with Animation, FX, and Comp Supervisors. Work with vendor studios: review assets, solve pipeline issues, give notes & feedback. Ensure assets (modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, comp) meet pipeline standards. Collaborate with Producers & Creative Leadership to achieve vision on time and budget. Help build efficient CG pipelines and documentation for vendors. Occasionally do hands-on asset troubleshooting. Requirements: Strong knowledge of the entire CG pipeline (Model, Rig, Texture, Animation, Lighting, Comp). Prior supervisory experience on animated film/series or games. Excellent leadership & communication skills. Hands-on problem-solving ability with vendors. Knowledge of CG tools/software; scripting a plus. Ability to manage multiple episodes/projects at once.
