You will lead a team of talented artists in a friendly, inclusive environment where respectful and empathetic communication is the standard, not the exception. Detailed Key Responsibilities The CG Studio Supervisor job is a multifaceted role that bridges the gap between creative vision, technical infrastructure, and production management. You are responsible for ensuring that the creative quality meets the Director’s vision while delivering on schedule and within budget across multiple simultaneous projects. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with internal VFX Supervisors and Producers to define and deliver show-specific CG requirements, ensuring that technical limitations never stifle creative possibilities. Hands-on Artistry: While this is a leadership role, we value a supervisor who can provide hands-on creative leadership when required, jumping into shots or assets to guide the team by example. Team Management & Mentorship Resource Allocation: Lead the 3D team by creating comprehensive production plans. You will be responsible for allocating resources effectively to successfully deliver on complex creative briefs. Talent Development: Manage, mentor, and develop CG artists at all levels. You will foster an environment of growth, ensuring that junior artists become seniors and senior artists become leads. Recruitment & Culture: Support the recruitment and onboarding processes to bring in fresh talent that aligns with Dupe’s ego-free and inclusive values. You will also lead the performance review process, providing constructive and empathetic feedback. Pipeline & Technical Innovation Workflow Optimization: Drive continuous improvement in tools and workflows. Required Attributes & Technical Expertise To excel in this CG Studio Supervisor job, you must possess a unique blend of technical mastery and emotional intelligence. Technical Stack: * Expert-level knowledge of Houdini and Maya. Proven expertise in Solaris/USD workflows. A deep understanding of the principles of composition and a “good eye” for photorealism.
