Core Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of technical and artistic tasks, including: Projection Setups: Execute hands-on 2.5D and 3D projection setups within Nuke, utilizing geometry and cameras exported from Maya. Asset Preparation: Perform expert digital painting cleanups, element extraction, and texture preparation within Photoshop to facilitate seamless background extensions. Scene Integration: Integrate hand-painted environments into moving shots, paying meticulous attention to layer structure, parallax, and technical fidelity. Daily Collaboration: Actively participate in Interactive Rounds, where you will present your progress, navigate technical constraints, and implement supervisor feedback with agility and precision. Pipeline Compliance: Maintain strict organization within your scripts and adhere to our department’s naming conventions and template structures. You will also be responsible for updating task progress and data tracking within our proprietary project management tools. Technical Troubleshooting: Collaborate with senior team members to identify and solve common issues such as artifacting, texture stretching, or filter inconsistencies in your projections. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a strong aptitude for both artistic execution and technical troubleshooting. Technical Mastery: Foundational proficiency in Nuke (specifically the 3D system, projection nodes, and basic compositing workflows) and Photoshop (layering, masking, and matte paint cleanup). 3D Competency: A working knowledge of Maya is required, particularly for modeling, importing, and exporting layout geometry, cameras, and basic shaders. Professional Discipline: You must demonstrate clear, professional communication when collaborating with peers, Leads, and production coordinators. Growth Mindset: We value proactivity.
