Job Summary : Lighting & Compositing Artist Detail Information Company DIGIC Position Lighting & Compositing Artist Contract Type Full-time Freelance (40 hrs/week) Location Remote (Within ±2h of Budapest / CET) Start Date From June 2026 onwards Contact Jane Slater (jane.slater@digicpictures.com) Key Responsibilities As a Lighting & Compositing Artist at DIGIC Pictures, you will play a pivotal role in the final stage of our production pipeline. Your core responsibilities will include: Shot Production: You will be responsible for taking shots from the initial lighting phase through to final rendering and compositing, ensuring every frame meets our high-quality standards. Aesthetic Integrity: Working closely with established “look-dev” and creative direction, you will maintain visual consistency across the series, ensuring the final output perfectly captures the show’s unique fantasy aesthetic. Technical Pipeline Management: You will operate within our established pipeline, utilizing Gaffer and Nuke to manage complex AOVs and node-based setups. Collaboration & Feedback: Success at DIGIC is a team effort. You will partner with Lead Artists and CG Supervisors to troubleshoot technical hurdles, refine workflows, and actively participate in daily reviews to incorporate creative feedback. Efficiency: You will maintain lighting rigs and compositing templates, ensuring that tools are optimized for both performance and artistic flexibility. Candidate Profile DIGIC Pictures is looking for creative problem solvers who are eager to contribute to a collaborative, high-profile project. Essential Requirements: Software Proficiency: Lighting: Strong experience with Gaffer, or equivalent node-based lighting systems such as Katana or Solaris. Rendering: Proficiency in Arnold or comparable path-tracing engines. Compositing: Advanced knowledge of Nuke (or similar node-based software) with a focus on stylized content. Artistic Vision: A refined understanding of light, color theory, composition, and the specific demands of stylized rendering. Communication: Excellent spoken and written English, as you will be working within an international, cross-functional team. Legal Status: You must be legally authorized to invoice under Hungarian law (registered sole proprietor, entrepreneur, or self-employed professional).
