1. Visual Narrative & Cinematography

The Layout Artist works in close alignment with the Executive Producer, Layout Supervisor, and Animation Supervisor to establish the visual “voice” of the project. You will:

• Interpret 2D storyboards to create 3D shot block-ins that respect the intended emotional arc.
• Execute complex camera choreography, focal length choices, and composition to guide the viewer’s eye.
• Act as the primary architect for the staging and set dressing, ensuring the environment supports the characters’ performances.

2. Technical Execution & Vendor Collaboration

A modern Layout Artist must navigate the complexities of global production. You will:

• Review layouts with the Layout Supervisor to ensure every specific shot is set up for success before it reaches the animation and lighting stages.
• Work directly with external vendor studios to achieve the desired animation setups.
• Dive into animation files to troubleshoot issues and ensure a seamless handoff between departments.

3. Innovation & Process Improvement
