As our project slate continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced FX Supervisor to join our Bangkok team. This is an opportunity to lead, innovate, and oversee the visual effects pipeline for our upcoming animation slate. The Role: Technical Leadership & Artistic Innovation

As the FX Supervisor at M2 Animation, you will serve as the technical backbone of our effects department. You will be responsible for defining the FX strategy, optimizing our workflows, and ensuring that every simulation—from atmospheric effects to complex physical dynamics—elevates the narrative and visual appeal of our productions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Oversee the entire FX pipeline, ensuring that team output is consistent, high-quality, and delivered on schedule.
• Pipeline Development: Spearhead the integration of Unreal Engine into our FX workflows, ensuring efficient real-time rendering and seamless performance.
• Creative Supervision: Act as the primary point of contact for directors and production leads, ensuring that the visual effects align perfectly with the creative vision of the film or series.
• Team Mentorship: Provide hands-on guidance to the FX team, fostering an environment of technical growth, experimentation, and excellence.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve technical bottlenecks. You will be responsible for balancing artistic complexity with technical performance requirements.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a supervisor who is both a technical architect and an artistic visionary. You should possess the ability to lead a team while staying deeply connected to the “how-to” of effective simulation.

Candidate Requirements:

• Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in Unreal Engine is essential. You should have a proven track record of using UE for real-time FX and pipeline integration.
• Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the animation or VFX industry, with a demonstrated history of leadership in a supervisory role.
• Pipeline Knowledge: Expertise in industry-standard FX tools (e.g., Houdini, Niagara, or similar) and an understanding of how to bridge these with real-time engines.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills. You must be comfortable leading creative discussions, mentoring junior artists, and reporting to senior production management.
• Bangkok-Ready: You must be willing to work on-site at our studio in Bangkok, Thailand.
