Your Mission at SuperPlay
As a 3D Artist at SuperPlay, you won’t just be making “assets”—you will be building the visual heartbeat of our games. You will work at the intersection of 2D charm and 3D depth, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure our games remain visually stunning and technically seamless.
1. Comprehensive Asset Creation
You will be responsible for the end-to-end creation of game assets, ranging from small props to expansive, immersive environments. This involves:
Crafting high-quality stylized models that fit the unique aesthetic of the SuperPlay universe.
Developing textures that bring life and personality to every surface.
Directly integrating your work into the game engine, ensuring that what you see in your viewport is what the player experiences on their screen.
2. Collaborative Workflow & Hybrid Design
You will be an integral part of a creative “squad,” interacting daily with the Team Lead, Animators, Concept Artists, and the Art Director. A key part of your role involves:
Working within a hybrid 2D/3D workflow, where you collaborate with the 2D team to translate flat concepts into voluminous, interactive spaces.
Adjusting your creative output to meet specific technical and production constraints without compromising on artistic quality.
3. Technical Precision and Character Modeling
A SuperPlay artist is as organized as they are creative. You will:
Create and manage UV grouping, texture budgets, pivots, and scene hierarchies to keep our mobile builds optimized.
Develop stylized characters based on 2D concepts, ensuring they are not only beautiful but also fully optimized for mobile and ready for the rigging team.
Who You Are: Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for an artist who lives and breathes stylized design. Whether you are a fresh graduate with a stellar portfolio or someone with early-career experience in the gaming sector, we want to see your talent.
The Must-Haves (Required)
3D Modeling Expertise: Demonstrated experience in 3D modeling, with a strong preference for those who have touched the gaming industry.
Versatility: Proven ability in hard-surface environment modeling, texturing, and organic modeling.
Stylized Portfolio: A professional portfolio that showcases a mastery of stylized art. We are looking for vibrant colors, clean silhouettes, and expressive shapes.
Software Mastery: High proficiency in Autodesk Maya. You should also have a strong command of Adobe Photoshop and Substance Painter for your texturing pipeline.
Technical Awareness: An organized approach to your workflow, with a goal-oriented mindset that allows you to hit deadlines and milestones consistently.
Gaming Passion: You don’t just make games; you play them. You have extensive knowledge of what makes successful casual and mobile games “tick.”
The “Great to Have” (Advantages)
ZBrush: Experience with digital sculpting for high-poly bakes.
Unity: Familiarity with the Unity engine, particularly in how assets are imported and shaded.
Blender: While Maya is our primary tool, knowledge of Blender is a significant plus.
Bonus Points
Character Focus: Familiarity with mobile character topology and creating “rig-friendly” models (clean loops, proper joint placement).
Artistic Foundations: Experience in traditional concept design, drawing, or digital painting.
Why Join SuperPlay?
Hyper-Growth Environment: We are expanding rapidly, meaning there are ample opportunities for career progression and taking on more responsibility quickly.
Elite Talent: Work alongside experts from Playtika and Rovio in a culture that values excellence and fun in equal measure.
Innovation: We aren’t just making clones; we are redefining the casual genre through high-quality production values.
The Tel Aviv Vibe: Located in the heart of Israel’s tech hub, our office is a center for creativity and ambition.
The Selection Process
At SuperPlay, we value the “eye” of the artist above all else. When you apply, please ensure your portfolio link is clearly visible. We are looking for:
Consistency: Can you maintain a specific art style across multiple assets?
Optimization: Are your meshes clean, or are they overly dense for mobile?
Color & Light: Does your texturing show an understanding of color theory?
