Second Star Games is looking for a visionary Game Director to lead the development of Neverland: A Peter Pan Adventure. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a beloved IP and craft an enchanting, high-quality gaming experience that resonates with players globally. As a Game Director, you will guide a talented, multidisciplinary team, defining the creative heart and technical execution of this ambitious co-op action-adventure title.
Role Overview
In this pivotal leadership role, you will be the creative anchor for the studio. You will be responsible for translating high-level concepts into actionable roadmaps, ensuring that both the project’s scope and its milestone schedule are met with precision. Beyond strategy, you will be a hands-on mentor, fostering a collaborative culture where the Design team can thrive, iterate effectively, and push the boundaries of what is possible within the Peter Pan universe.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the creative vision & design pillars 🧩
- Deliver quality, scope, and milestones on schedule ⏱️
- Translate vision into clear goals, roadmaps & frameworks 📜
- Lead, mentor & grow the Design team 🌱
- Drive iteration with whiteboxing, playtests & telemetry 🎯
- Manage IP approvals & licensor relationships 🤝
- Ensure accessibility, age-appropriateness & ratings compliance ✅
We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years in game development, with at least one shipped title as Game Director/Creative Director 🏆
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams 🎮
- Strong expertise in systems, level & content design 💡
- Experience with IP approvals & licensors 📑
- Data-informed decision making 📊
- Comfort with Unreal Engine 5 & modern pipelines (Perforce, Jira, Notion, telemetry) 🚀
- Experience with family-friendly co-op action-adventures 🧚♂️
Work Style:
- Tues–Thurs: On-site in Warrington studio 🏢
- Mon & Fri: Work from home 🏠
- Flexible core hours: 10:00–16:00 ⏰
