🎯 Position Overview
The Matchmove Artist is the bridge between live-action and CGI — ensuring that every digital element sits perfectly within the real world. You’ll be responsible for accurately recreating camera and object motion within 3D environments, forming the foundation for flawless visual effects, animation, and compositing.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Reconstruct camera and object motion to align CG elements precisely with live-action footage.
- Generate accurate 3D camera tracks, object tracks, and proxy geometry for downstream departments.
- Integrate Lidar or photogrammetry data for accurate scale and alignment.
- Ensure consistency and precision across shots and sequences.
- Collaborate closely with layout, animation, and compositing teams for seamless workflows.
- Perform quality checks on tracking, lens distortion, and scene setup before delivery.
🧠 Qualifications & Skills
- Strong understanding of camera optics, perspective, and spatial relationships.
- Hands-on experience with 3DEqualizer, PFTrack, Maya, or similar tracking tools.
- Knowledge of lens distortion workflows and undistort/redistort processes.
- Familiarity with object tracking, body tracking, and set reconstruction.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex shots and deliver accurate results under deadlines.
- (Bonus:) Experience with Python/MEL scripting or automation workflows.
💼 Experience Levels
- Intern / Fresher: Foundational knowledge of 3D space and camera tracking.
- Junior (1–2 years): Comfortable handling straightforward camera or object tracks.
- Mid-Level (3–5 years): Skilled with complex shots and integrating Lidar data.
- Senior (5+ years): Technically strong, proactive, and able to mentor junior artists.
- Lead / Supervisor: Oversees Matchmove pipeline, ensures accuracy, and drives team standards.
