About philm CGI
At philm CGI, we believe that the most breathtaking visual experiences are born at the intersection of boundless creativity and cutting-edge technology. With studios in Pune and Thrissur, we have established ourselves as a cornerstone of the Indian VFX and animation scene, partnering with global directors and producers to deliver imagery that transcends the ordinary.
We are more than just a production facility; we are a community of dedicated artists, technicians, and visionaries committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in visual storytelling. As we continue to expand our footprint with major international feature films and series, we are seeking experienced Roto Artists who are ready to refine their craft and contribute to high-end, internationally recognized projects.
The Role: The Foundation of VFX Excellence
The Roto department is the invisible backbone of visual effects. Your work ensures that every frame of our footage is clean, professional, and ready for integration. As a Roto Artist at philm CGI, you will handle complex tasks that require both an aesthetic eye and a high degree of technical patience. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between raw footage and the final cinematic output.
Core Responsibilities:
- Frame-by-Frame Precision: Execute high-level rotoscoping tasks, ensuring that all elements are isolated with surgical accuracy. You will be responsible for ensuring that the final output is flawless and matches the artistic intent of the director.
- Quality Control: Perform rigorous QC of internal shots and oversee the work of external resources. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that no artifacts or technical flaws detract from the final visual narrative.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve technical issues independently. You will be a go-to resource for your peers, providing guidance and support to maintain our high production standards.
- Pipeline Collaboration: Partner closely with compositors and other VFX departments to ensure a seamless transition of assets through our pipeline.
- Workflow Management: Estimate workflows and schedules for your assigned tasks, contributing to a studio culture that values both efficiency and artistic quality.
- Mentorship: Play a key role in training and mentoring junior artists, helping to elevate the collective capability of our team.
